The Ernst & Young Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team combines all the experience and expertise available within Ernst & Young in order to offer a complete range of value-added services and to advise on corporate transactions. For cross-border transactions, we deploy multinational teams from the international Ernst & Young TAS network. The Belgian TAS team is comprised of over 35 professionals coming from various backgrounds and disciplines, such as corporate finance, private equity, trading, industry and financial audit.

Mergers and acquisitions, private and public offerings, valuations, business modelling, due diligence and financial consulting are professional services provided by Ernst & Young TAS. Through our independent position with respect to lenders, investors, and investment bankers, our team of professionals is ideally placed to successfully support corporate transactions.

Description

Ernst & Young TAS is growing and is therefore looking for professionals to join its Valuation & Business Modelling and Mergers & Acquisitions departments.

Activities :

• Help buyers or sellers manage the transaction process from deal sourcing through post acquisition integration
• Valuations or fairness opinions for transaction, statutory (IFRS/IAS), fiscal and strategic purposes
• Financial modelling and model review
• Technical valuation advice
• Advising acquirers, advising sellers, MBO and LBO
• Identification of potential targets or investors
• Assistance with negotiations and final closing of the transactions

Profile

• University degree in Economics related subject
• Minimum 5 years experience in a consultancy firm or investment bank
• Good knowledge of Dutch, French and English (other languages appreciated)
• Good knowledge of business valuation techniques
• Competencies in merger & acquisition and joint venture processes
• Basic knowledge of IFRS/IAS accounting principles
• A strong task and people manager
• Primarily a team leader focused on managing execution
• Gives clear advice to clients
• Demonstrates strong ability to build working relationships with clients and internally in the industry
